Zissou Gardens was founded by Jess and Jack, who have turned their lifelong love of nature and the outdoors into a thriving, professional garden design studio, landscaping and maintenance company.
A husband-and-wife team, who left their home island of Guernsey to arrive in Mallorca in 2019. The appreciation of the unique style of island life was already deep in their psyche and the outdoors lifestyle, slower pace, living in tune with the seasons and appreciation of natural beauty that they found in Mallorca made settling in effortless.
Since that time, they have been exploring the natural beauty of the local biome and studying avidly, learning about the remarkable, diverse flora of Mallorca and rapidly building their business, thanks in no small part to the generous recommendations of satisfied customers.
Design and plant care
Jessica, who first discovered a love for plants while working in special needs education, now leads the design and plant care side of the business.
Having discovered a flare for design early on in her gardening career, she set about learning as much as she could, both about Mediterranean flora and fauna, and the techniques of different garden designers around the world.
Local plant practices and traditional agricultural building techniques
Jack, having spent a decade working for landscaping companies in Guernsey, now focuses on land management, soil regeneration, irrigation, tree care and hardscaping.
He has built up a comprehensive knowledge of local practices, traditional agricultural building techniques and an understanding of Mediterranean ecosystems and plant botanics.
